Pause and ask your self this question.

Answer from your heart not your head

Do you give back to yourself & nourish your heart & soul?

& what helps you feel nourished? 

We always seem to find excuses to fill our time with things to do, people to see, jobs to do. But in reality how many of these things can we hold back from for a moment to give some nourishment back to ourselves?  Maybe we recognise this and have started a regime and then life gets in the way and we forget again, all of a sudden we can’t remember when we stopped, is this you? I know this is me.

Most times it is because of the story we have relayed in our own mind, the patterns we have created from what we expect of ourselves, or the message we have heard from others, our mums, our friends, our partners, our teachers in life. 

The message was quite clearly “work harder” “rest is being lazy” “but” & of course,  “I don’t have time”

What if we were to break down this construct and challenge those patterns and start to reinforce new healthier ones instead like, 

“Self care matters” “self preservation gives me nourishment and therefor, from that place, I am showing others that it’s ok to look after themselves too!” “ when I take care of myself I have so much more to give, effortlessly!”  “Time is on my side”

Why not give this a try:

Catch yourself, catch your thoughts- re-educate your message in the moment & every moment you catch yourself. No judgment here guys, just an observation of your construct and then a gentle reminder to change that pattern to support you! 

Perhaps you already do this?  What strategies do you have in place ? 

Maybe try these:

Breath awareness and practices

Yoga or other mindful practices

Stretch & Move your body 

Have Cuddles

Walk outside 

Smell the air, the flowers, a piece of fruit 🍉 

Have a leisurely bath

Wear your favourite or comfiest outfit

Drink from your favourite mug

See friends 💕

I would love to know what works for you. 

Or even if this has helped to prompt you to make a pledge to notice what is your construct, and give your self the well earned permission you deserve to reinforce self love and self nourishment as a must, not a luxury. I will promise to do this more as well. In it together.

Happy 2022- January Studio Wellbeing Bootcamp

Happy 2022 everyone, are you also overwhelmed of how time just disappears over the last few years?

I have to admit, I have been way too over indulgent this December, eating my bodyweight in chocolate!! I don’t do the alcohol so that’s a relief. I have always had to fight with myself with being addicted to sugar, and some times I get it right and feel amazing then somehow go down that slippery slope again of being a sugar, but mostly chocolate addict. And if you know me you know I mean addict!

Well, I am trying again form the start of this public message to try again to get on the right track, so my bones don’t hurt form the sugar, have you ever noticed that? I have but only since menopause though (as never ever hurt or ached, even when I was a triathlete, I had boundless energy, strength, drive) when I cut out all carbs, no pain or aches and I don’t have to click my foot or back. So even though I know and feel this I still struggle to do it, it is so ridiculous.

I would love to know your views and experiences and how you manage, so do share as we can all help each other out.

So this January I am offering you a Wellbeing Bootcamp month for only £50

this gives you access to ALL LIVE sessions through January. this is a minimum of 36 sessions

over the month you will have

How can we be in October timetable already!!! The concept of time is so different as the years go by and with all the last few years of uncertainty. What is certain though is that I am always here for you running soul gratifying classes so we can sense greater peace in our bodies, mind and soul.

Session titles are merely a guide and are far much rich and layered than the title.

Online Studio – Yoga Studio- Face to face- Pop ups- Retreats/Workshops

OCTOBER 1-28, NO CLASS OCTOBER 11TH.

Monday

9:30am Power Hour – integral practices using body weight, weights, bands for resistance or repetition to amp up your session

Wednesday

8:00am Pilates & Props

these may be bands, cushions, belts, hoops, blocks, chairs etc bring what you have.

7:00pm Move, unwind and relax

an integral session to move, strengthen and then unwind from the day with a relaxation sessional the end, bring your blankets, eye masks

Thursday

9:30am Pilates

Working through the repertoire and variations, optional use of props to help or challenge can be used

Friday

9:00am Garuda

except to move in all directions, roll around, play twister!, be challenged, open ,close, arc and curl

10:45 Restore, Rejuvenate & Reset

this is the most gentle of all the session, whether you are tired, stressed, wanting to nurture, have an injury, or just love the balance. Please bring cushions, blankets, eye masks, this session can be very varied, with use of gentle movement, self massage, meditation and sometimes gongs or crystal bowls. leaving you relaxed and calm with ease of mind, body, soul.

The whole body, mind and soul will be moved through an asana practice, using bricks and yoga strap, breath awareness and savasana

Thursday

7:00am Calm

Slower, gentle session, restoratives, breath awareness, meditation, move gently into asanas, use of props- bricks, yoga strap, and end in savasana.

Sound can be our anchor to help us shift our focus away from the constant fluctuations of the mind, allow us to be present, absorbing the sounds, it is possible to release tensions, discomforts, release emotional pressure, gain clarity and insights, feel grounded, it can help with burn out and frustrations and help us find joy and calm.

Seriously I cannot believe how the months are flying by, I guess with my online studio and privates plus the 200 and 300 hour Yoga training, and the 3 sound therapy courses, plus a renovation project, designing and organising the orders, I shouldn’t be surprised I have skipped time or maybe expanding time???!!!

I must admit I am loving doing it all but also will really appreciate taking some time off for summer. Talking of summer how amazing has the weather been, I already feel like its summer, loving this. Thank you thank you thank you !

Have you been crazy busy? Learning new skills? or enjoying taking it a bit slower? or maybe not enjoying taking it slower?

Excitingly there are 2 Bank Holidays, I am going to make a promise to myself to not do one bit of work, even answer an email! 😂 My husband would be amazed if that happened.

Do you have any plans?

I hope to walk my fur baby on the beach and chill with my husband maybe drinking a coffee or two.

April, well hello there!!

Spring and Easter is right here and I feel like how did that happen?

The sun has been kind and have enjoyed the odd break to feel a little of the sun rays on my face in-between my schedules. Restrictions are being lifted and people are starting to appear in the streets and beaches.

How do you feel about that?

Does it fill you with apprehension or joy?

Life has changed, people are choosing new ways to approach things and we are all still finding our feet.

I know lots of things have changed for me, and it is partly scary and partly exciting, as what will unfold.

I have no idea and I can only go with the flow and see what reveals itself, as they say one door has to shut for another to open, and whether that’s instant or slow and takes time I shall endeavour to know it will all be ok!

April term is all ready to go, with Pilates, Garuda, Franklin Method and Power Hour on the payment plan and Meditation and Yoga are available as pay as you go or a course, please enquire.

May is being worked on with hopefully some early morning Yoga slotted in to start your day the right way before work or a day entertains the children, grandchildren or yourselves.

May Coastal Retreat is FULLY BOOKED and hopefully will go ahead, 4 had to be cancelled over the last 12 months so I am excited for this to go ahead, to share time and space with beautiful people.

SoundBaths are being scheduled along the way with different flavours and themes. on line aswell as in life realtime, yayyyy so excited to share these with you.
